SAS DEEPENS COOPERATION WITH CNRS
The Center national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) is the most important non-university scientific institution in France, and also one of the largest European research institutions. The Slovak Academy of Sciences and the CNRS signed a Cooperation Agreement, based on which both parties could participate in joint research programs, exchange researchers or organize joint professional and scientific events.
The cooperation agreement with the CNRS is an important document for the academy. It is a framework agreement with a declarative character that does not result in direct financial obligations for any party. The document replaces an earlier agreement that the organizations signed in 1994. SAS has already established cooperation with CNRS in some areas. We believe that this agreement will further strengthen and deepen cooperation. Today, the Slovak Republic State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth, R. Zsembera, handed over the signed agreement to the SAS President.
