Article is focused on the evaluation of retention volume changes of Halčianske Lake in the area of Banská Belá municipality which is situated near Banská Štiavnica. Under the influence of sedimentation, significant aggradation is being created in this lake and it influences in a large extent the lake itself, its morphometric parameters and also the close surroundings of the lake
