Discrete logarithm problem in GH and XTR scheme

The discrete logarithm problem in a group G can be viewed as a problem of finding the index of an element in a given sequence generated as powers of some element of the group G. In the presented paper we use this approach to obtain some frequentative properties of GH and XTR sequences. We also present results of experiments on small instances of GH and XTR schemes using NTL library.
