The study analyzes the multifaceted work of Joachim Moras (1902–1961), a little-known but nevertheless important co-editor of journals (Europäische Revue, Merkur. Deutsche Zeitschrift für europäisches Denken), yearbooks (Jahresring) and inventory books (Deutscher Geist zwischen gestern und morgen). It seeks to bring this intellectual back into the limelight and to highlight the fruitful and limiting effects of his intellectual activities between the 1930s and 1960s. The analysis focuses on the interrelated editorial practices through which Moras, as co-editor, influenced the composition of his collaborators, the form of individual texts, and the overall shape of all the periodical and non-periodical formats he co-published.
