The paper examines the current dynamics of competition between feminine nouns formed with the suffixes -osť and -ita. It focuses on the usage, possible stylistic and semantic differentiation of nouns such kom plexnosť vs. komplexita (both complexity) špecifickosť vs. špecifita (both specificity), senzitívnosť vs. senzitivita (both sensitivity), as well as the occurrence of their word-information variants in actual language use.
