About article:
In this article, the liturgical calendar of the Carthusian Order will be compared with those of other monastic orders and of the dioceses of Central Europe to define its typical features.
Furthermore, the content of calendars in eight manuscripts of Carthusian monasteries from Moravia and the Kingdom of Hungary will be analysed in an attempt to determine their
provenance and to date them if possible. As a result of this study, it was possible to determine the date of the feast of the dedication of the church from four charterhouses (Lövöld,
Letanovce, Brno and Olomouc).
