Author follows Slovak studies on State University of Moscow from very beginning. Despite Slavic studies exists as department on named University even from first years of 19th century, Slovak studies are in the same position not later than at half of the 20th century. This come to true due to prof. N. A. Kondrašov, that group 12 dedicated students of Slovak studies and grow them up not only to promoters of Slovak language and culture, but also to linguists, lexicographs and translators of Slovak literature. The paper enriches our knowledge about history of Slavic and Slovak studies.
