Slovenian Etymological Dictionary and the Tasks of the Etymological Research.

We are presenting the work Etimološki slovar slovenskego jezika (I–III, years 1967, 1978 and 1995) by F. Bezlaj of Slovenia to Slovak linguistic and scientific community. The presented dictionary brings a large number of information about Slovak language as one of the Slavic languages and thus expands the point of view at the lexical development of Slavic languages. We observe the processing of a lexical base of the Slovenian language from the aspect of presenting Slovak lexical units.
