About article:
The author advances the idea that the Slavic philology has not yet developed reliable methodological criteria for determining the Slavonicisms – in terms of the loanwords – within the Slavic standard languages. As a result, the issue of Slovakisms and Slovenianisms in the standard Croatian language demands further research. The author details a number of historic and socio-linguistic assumptions, which may provide suitable means for dealing with this issue.
