About article:
In syntactic works on Slovak, the congruence of the grammatical predicate with the grammatical subject is generally evaluated as a characteristic feature of predication. The author shows that numerous types of two-part sentences lack this feature. In general, the congruence of a predication is conditioned by the construction of the grammatical subject: when the position of the grammatical subject is occupied by a nominalization that is unable to express the syntactic person as an integral feature of the grammatical subject, we are faced with an incongruent predication. In addition to incongruent predication, there is partially congruent predication, when the grammatical predicate is divided into constituent parts, where the main clause contains both a congruent form of the auxiliary verb and a congruent referring element in the form of a pronoun referring to the subordinate clause, which, as an incongruent part, expresses the content component of the grammatical predicate.
