About article:
The article considers Slovak Romanticism in the context of the current synoptic-pulsating theory, which characterizes the configuration of Romanticism as a rich spectrum of possibilities and gradations from the pragmatic to the messianic, a repertory that includes romantic irony and non-fiction genres (letter, autobiography, memoir), the tension between a manifest and a latent form, the relationship between romantic texts, Biedermeier counter-texts and autobiographical fractures and the oscillation of emotional moods between heroic enthusiasm, idyllic happiness, melancholic sadness and existential anxiety.
