The object of this paper is the delimitation of potential slide areas. The problem is approached from two points of view; from the point of view of traditional and untraditional concept of landslide. Based on the traditional concept, according to which landslide is only a gravitational movement of rock material, it is possible to delimitate only the greatest basic potential slide areas. A more detailed delimitation is to be based upon a concept, according to which landslide is a specific movement of a geomorphological form, and as such is a reflection of a precised areal organization of geomorphological forms.
