On the basis of an analysis and of the definition of basic notions, a set of problems of the hydrological cycle, of hydrogeographical units of the landscape as well as of the relation: landscape structure – hydrological process is submitted. The hydrological cycle is conceived as a system of hydrological processes. The hydrogeographical units of landscape are divided into topic and choric. The hydrotops as the basic hydrogeographical units are classified on the basis of dominant hydrological process. In conclusion the problems of the relation: landscape structure – hydrological process are analysed and a need of the quantitative approach to the given problems is stated.
