About article:
From the medico-geographical viewpoint the tick-borne encephalitis displays considerable spatial differences as to the incidence (number of disease cases). Thus, it is a geographicotropous disease. In this contribution the matter is in the question: whether and to what measure may be ascribed such a differentiated incidence to such a geographical factor like population density, and namely in the sense that the number of disease cases for twenty-five years in the given settlement (locality) is compared with the number of its population (spatial intensity of disease). This one is distorted in larger towns by the so called marginal effect.
