About article:
The Bohemian Highlands had suitable conditions (geographic situation, altitudes, climate, etc.) for glaciation during cold phases of the Pleistocene. But the extent of Pleistocene glacial forms and deposits in the Bohemian Highlands is limited. Generally, Pleistocene glaciation is accepted 1'or Šumava Mts., Krkonoše Mts. and Hrubý Jeseník Mts. only. In the last time deposits and cirque-like depressions (karoids) and deposits were found in the Králický Sněžník Mts., which can be interpreted as evidence for occurrence of cold-based glacier or glaciers during cold phases of the Pleistocene.
