About article:
The aim of the contribution is to provide analysis and evaluation of the approaches to regionalisation of low flow existing in the world and in our country based on available literature and to outline a new regionalising approach developed at the Institute of Geography of SAS in Bratislava. Hydro-geographic regional typification of low flow uses exact analysis of relation between spatial variability Qmin (minimum discharges) and physical-geographical characteristics of elementary catchments in GIS environment.
