Annotation
The sequences of the carbohydrate recognition domains and fluorescent proteins can be combined to form biosensors that change the fluorescence intensity depending on the ligand concentration. The solubility of the protein constructs thus formed can then be modified to obtain a highly soluble protein, or thus to obtain low-soluble protein particles in the form of inclusion bodies. The dissertation will focus on the design and application of inclusion bodies for monitoring biotransformations in carbohydrate biochemistry and for use in medicine. Alternatively, the formation of biosensors in the form of inclusion bodies will be based on glucose oxidase sequences and the use will be combined with an injectable oximeter.
