The objectives of the dissertation are as follows:
1) To investigate the pharmacological effects of modern anti-diabetic and anti-obesity drugs in experimental models of acute myocardial infarction and chronic heart failure in adult and ageing rats with comorbidities such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and hypertriglyceridemia
2) To analyze sex differences in the responses to these drugs and their impact on cardiometabolic diseases, thereby enhancing the understanding of the significance of sex differences in pathophysiological mechanisms
3) To identify new pharmacological targets and therapeutic approaches that may contribute to the development of innovative treatment strategies for patients with cardiometabolic diseases, thus supporting personalized medicine in this field.
