Annotation
The proposed topic of the doctoral thesis aims at research in the field of contemporary puppet theatre, which has not received sufficient attention in Slovak theatre studies. The artistic and scenographic component of productions is nowadays often decisive for the final shape of an artwork. The dissertation aims to present and characterize, through selected (Slovak) puppet stage designers and scenographers, their differentiating creative practices and authorial poetics, the gradual transformation and direction of contemporary Slovak puppet theatre in the field of scenography.
