On Friday, December 1st 2017, the Slovak Embassy in Tel Aviv launched the website of the Slovak-Israeli Scientific and Innovation Society SKILL. The ambition of this initiative is to give further boost to the cooperation between scientific and academic communities in Slovakia and Israel.

The site presents to the experts and wider public the newly-formed Society SKILL, its founding members and its previously implemented activities as well as those in pipelines. It will also provide news on grant schemes, joint research and innovation projects. Ensuring the success of the initiative is the enthusiasm of all the institutions involved. In addition to the Slovak Embassy in Tel Aviv, the Tel Aviv University, the Israeli-Slovak Chamber of Commerce and the Slovak Academy of Science also participate in this project

Do not hesitate to visit us at www.skill-society.org. We would welcome your suggestions, ideas and recommendations for both the Scientific Society and the SKILL´s website.

The Slovak-Israeli Scientific and Innovation Society SKILL was established in March 2017 in the presence of the Slovak President Andrej Kiska, during his state visit to Israel. The main aim of the Society is to create and cultivate relations between the Slovak and Israeli academic and scientific communities, to support the internships and postings of Slovak scholars and academics at Israeli universities, to create joint scientific teams as well as to collaborate on specific research projects. The initiative of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Tel Aviv was supported by the President of the Tel Aviv University, prof. Joseph Klafter, who is the honorary president of the Society. The founding members of SKILL are scientists, experts and academics who come from or have professional ties with Slovakia. The Society's partner in Slovakia is the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
