World Wide Views on Climate and Energy
Attached you can find an open invitation to organizations with an interest in public participation and/or climate and energy to join the global citizen participation project “World Wide Views on Climate and Energy”.
The project will engage ordinary citizens in as many countries as possible in the process of making global policies for dealing with climate change, and the results will be presented at the COP21 in Paris in December 2015 and on other key events.
Any potentially interested institution can give us an indication of interest at http://climateandenergy.wwviews.org/ce-interest/
The project is initiated by the Secretariat to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the French National Commission for Public Debate, the Danish Board of Technology Foundation, and Missions Publiques, with the support of the French Government, COP21 host.
Participating partners in WWViews projects have to find financial support for their own citizen consultation, e.g. from governments, companies, embassy funding, and development aid. One option may be to ask your country’s COP21 delegation for assistance.
