ANIHWA - Animal Health and Welfare - First transnational call for research proposals

 The ANIHWA consortium is very pleased to announce their upcoming first transnational call for research proposals in the area of animal health and welfare. The call for pre-proposals will be launched in the middle of September 2012.

 

 It will cover the following 4 topics: 

 
  1. Promoting research on the interface between animal health and welfare: development of practical animal-based indicators of animal health and welfare, and implementation of new husbandry strategies ensuring good health and welfare

  2. Development of knowledge which may lead to tools for diagnosis and disease prevention, including vaccines

  3. improvement of preparedness for emerging and exotic diseases (including vector-borne diseases and zoonoses) by epidemiological approach to risk pathways identification

  4. Antimicrobial and anthelmintic resistance, and development of alternative curative and preventive therapies, like biotherapeutics and other potential alternatives.

 

 

Only transnational projects will be funded, therefore each proposal must involve a minimum of three (3) partners (and a maximum of ten (10) from at least three (3)  and a maximum of eight (8) different ANIHWA-countries* involved in funding the call. Research groups from other countries, including from outside Europe, are welcome provided they have their own secured resources. Projects will be funded for a maximum period of three years. National regulations will be published in the ‘ANIHWA ERA-Net First Call Guidelines’ as soon as the call has officially been launched. 

 

*Please note, that the list of ANIHWA-countries involved in the call may differ slightly from the list of ANIHWA’s project partners published on ANIHWA’s homepage, please await call details.  More information on ANIHWA’s first call will be available from the middle of September 2012 onwards. This announcement is just to notify you of an upcoming call in the research area of animal health and welfare.

Slovenská akadémia vied

 

Slovenská akadémia vied získala status pozorovateľa dňa 11. mája 2012 v projekte - Animal Health and Welfare - ERA-Net  «ANIHWA».

Predsedníctvo SAV uznesením číslo 867 súhlasilo so zapojením SAV a následne výskumných tímov zo SAV do príslušnej spoločnej výzvy v rámci predmetného projektu a s finančnou podporou 1 výskumného projektu vo výške 25.000,-€/rok na  obdobie 3 rokov. Ostatné výskumné tímy z iných výskumných inštitúcií ( tímy mimo SAV)    zo Slovenskej republiky sa môžu zúčastniť predmetnej výzvy za prepokladu hradenia si nákladov z iných zdrojov, resp. vlastných zdrojov ( Letter of Commitment).
