In August 17-18, 2017, The Department of Analytic Philosophy hosted an international conference entitled Modal Metaphysics: Issues on the (Im)Possible V. The conference took place at the Institute of Philosophy SAS and, as previous years, attracted philosopher and logicians from all around the world, working primarily in analytic philosophy tradition. Among the main topics resonated metaphysics, philosophy of language, logic, epistemology and philosophy of fiction.
Before the conference (August 16, 2017), the department organised an intensive round-table with two invited speakers: Phillip Bricker (University of Massachusetts, Amherst) and Seahwa Kim (Ewha Womans University, Seoul). The topic of the round-table was “Philosophical Analysis”. The program, abstracts of all the talks and pictures are now available at the conference sites http://www.metaphysics.sk/issuesontheimpossible/.
