Five years since the discovery of the Higgs boson

Five years ago on July 4, 2012 at a seminar at CERN, the ATLAS and CMS research teams announced the discovery of particles with the properties of the long-sought Higgs boson. This was a major achievement by physicists and engineers working on the largest and most powerful Hadron particle accelerator in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) world. The ATLAS team was also partially compiled of Slovak scientists from Bratislava and Kosice
The ATLAS Collaboration has so far published its research findings in more than 680 works in prestigious international journals.
Doc. RNDR. Dušan Bruncko, CSc. (Leader of the Slovak team in the ATLAS experiment): "In comparison to 2012, we have almost twice the amount of data at more than 1.5 times the energy. We have obtained new details on the magnitude of effective cross-sections of the Higgs boson on 4 electrically charged leptons. An effective cross-section characterizes the probability of disintegration. "
