President of SAS was awarded in China

SAS president prof. Pavol Šajgalík received a major international Lee Hsun Lecture Award at the Research Institute of Metals, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
On that occasion prof. Šajgalík lectured on 14 October 2016 in front of top Chinese scientists audience at the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The topic of the lecture was GB chemistry of silicon nitride based ceramics – implications to the ceramics properties.
The series of Lee Hsun lectures in Chinese city Shenyang is organized by the Chinese Academy in cooperation with the National Laboratory of Material Sciences. Lecture of the president of SAS was dedicated to the results of experimental and theoretical research, as well as to the mechanical properties of the composites, their thermal shock resistance, wear resistance and oxidation resistance.
