Last visit of Singapore Ambassador

Singapore Ambassador J. E. Chay Wai Chuen visited the academy before the end of his mission in Slovakia.
Farewell meeting with the Ambassador of Singapore in the Slovak Republic His Excellency Chay Wai Chuen, was attended by president of Academy of Sciences prof. Pavol Šajgalík and members of Presidium of SAS.
Meeting was held on Monday, 5. 9. 2016, in the building of SAS in Bratislava. The ambassador will return to Singapore on Friday same week.
Both sides thanked each other for the cooperation and expressed hope for future partnership between the richest South East Asian country and SAS in the future. "We are not naive and we know that we are not the biggest player in the scientific world, but we have research teams that are excellent in their fields and scientific infrastructure, which could be interesting for scientific institutions in Singapore," said president of SAS Pavol Šajgalík.
Ambassador Chay Wai Chuen said that the personal meeting is the best way to form new cooperation and both sides informally agreed with meetings between SAS Vice President for Research Eva Májková and Singapore institutions during her presence on conference in Singapore this fall.
