Simulation of production process scheduling algorithms from the viewpoint of time and economic minimum (automatic assembling line).
Code: IMC-P-00-0028-UI
Description:
Optimal production process scheduling is a complicated and complex issue. A production line simulation model can be used to test various methods for the most suitable solution (heuristic or multi-agent approach). Program realized simulation model of asynchronous automatic computer assembly line with several workstation (or separate work machines) in tandem configuration allows to select the optimum configuration. Task scheduling of the production line is ensured so that all machines would be used with minimum idle times. Having specified special production system characteristics, such as operation time for individual workstations, the manner of feeding the pieces to be machined to individual workstations, failures and so-called transition matrix of the system, containing conditioned probabilites of the system´s transition from one state to another, so-called simple system path can be simulated with sufficient accurary and critical points of the system can be bound directly. It is also possible to simulate various methods how to remove them, and consequently to select that one with the best results. The simulator is suitable for simulation of production lines with automatic control, with the possibility of automatic recording of data on failures occurred, time and manner of their removal, as well as on performance times of individual workstations. Program realization of the simulator is saved on PC disk.
