doc. JUDr. Jozef Vozár, CSc.
Doc. JUDr. Jozef Vozár, CSc. graduated from the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava in 1989 and joined the Institute of State and Law of SAS, where he currently performs a function of director. He was a fellow of the A. von Humboldt Foundation. He attended study programmes at the Institute of Comparative Law in Lausanne and the Max Planck Institute in Munich. He wrote multiple monographs from the field of commercial and media law, as well as from the field of legal history. He is one of the co-founders and expert guarantors of the School of Slovak Law at Faculty of Law of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. In the years 2010 – 2012 he was an adviser to the Prime Minister for the fields of development of democracy and fight against corruption and in the years 2014 – 2019 he was a member of the Judicial Council of SR. Since 2021 he has been a member of the Legal Council of the National Bank of Slovakia a since 2023 a member of the Governing Council of Comenius University. He won several awards, both domestic and foreign, for his publications.
