Mgr. Dana Hučková, CSc.

A senior researcher, a member of the Department of the Literary History and the Department of textology and digital humanities projects at the Institute of Slovak Literature of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. In the period 2007 - 2019 the director of the Institute of the Slovak Literature SAS.

Dana Hučková's research is dedicated to modernism in Slovak literature at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, with particular emphasis on the relationship and interaction between literary and socio-political context. She has published monographs and articles on the poetry, prose and drama of Slovak modernism and its key authors. She is oriented on the fields of thematology, genre studies, gender studies and memory studies.
